Social Share/Vote Button plugin for joomla content

I was wondering if there was a quick and easy way to add the button positions BOTH before & after the content at the same time.

Hey there, I have to admit this is by far the best plug in for social buttons so well dont mate. I do however have a problem with one of my sites that it will not down load so I was wondering if you could shed some light on this for me.

The error is as below.

It was not possible to copy the selected file.
JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /home/mjjcommu/public_html/site/tmp/install_4d028cb2589d1/socialshareandvotebutton/delicious.png to /home/mjjcommu/public_html/site/plugins/content/socialshareandvotebutton/delicious.png

I get that when I am trying to upload in Joomla via the install functions

Ger: Sorry…. I noticed the weight setting just now. I changed the weight for facebook to 50 and left twitter @ 100. Now facebook always comes first…This really is the best plugin around for sharing on social networks.Perhaps one idea for an enhancement. When all activated buttons are set to ‘compact’ you could reduce the height so the white space between the buttons and the article text will disappear.

Reduce height for compact mode is a nice idea., thank, will change in next update

Fabian this is a content type plugin , but I can make it more flexible like adding shrotcode in content like wordpress. Can you give me more clear idea what you want ?

One thing I don't understand; On one article the facebook share button comes before the twitter button, on the same page, the next article might be other way around (first twitter, then facebook see my website's home page).... Seems to be pretty random.

I really love how clean and simple this plugin looks! Thanks! One question: When I click on the Facebook share button the auto filled-in text is the name of an article I had names my homepage article a long time ago. I have since deleted that file and made a new article. Somehow it still sees that old file-name. Where is this coming from?

One small issue - when installed before article content it adds a few blank lines before the article starts.

I tried several plugin like yours... and this one is really better than the others.

I'd like to know how to exclude buttons from specific component.
It works fine with my articles, but it also "works" with Bookmarks Component.
How to exclude Bookmarks Component ?

Hi Luca, I think when we share any article in facebook and people like that link it also count the like count though I am not sure. Let me know if you find any better answer about it.

Fatal error: Class 'ContentHelperRoute' not found in /home/content/xxx/html/plugins/content/socialshareandvotebutton.php on line 237.

I have identical problems with those of Flavius and can only use Facebook share and Good buzz (in compact mode). Any tweek beyond that will result in an unpredictable error. I found something like a bug in the source code on line 620 and 621 of ocialshareandvotebutton.php . The order for the strings there should have been in the order of 621 and 620. I have not had time to study the business logic of your code as I am not yet a Joomla coder.

Now I have another Question.
The Button Counter is not counting.
By klicking one BUtton it counts 1, but after reloading the Page the count is resetted to 0.

I checked Identi.ca , it doesn't support such status update badge like twitter , facebook etc. Only one thng I got it is Identi.ca badge to show latest status for a particular user but I will try to study on this topic more to add something for ideanti.ca

The buttons of these social plugin apepar before read more..is there a way do make them appear in the end, as with this setting, people will miss out the "read more"

This plugin is not working.
Only in a text-only articles.
Articles with Youtube (or other) video, it doesn't work.
i get an ERROR 500 on pages.

As soon as i disable this plugin all works fine again.

Help possible?

I have updated the plugin to v1.4, pls dowload and install again. StumbleUpon position problem solved. for section/category show/hide pls check plugin configuration, this option was added in earlier version. I always check with default template. I can not give suppot for diff template because it's a design issue, I have followed the standard way to place the button in artciles.

Any kind of new bug report or feedback is welcome. ALso request you guys to write bad/good feedback on jed, that will inspire me more.

I installed, looks nice. But wen i enable facebook share buttton, the whole article in that page disappers.. i even moved that facebook share button to bottom , right,.. still the problem persists.. and nw i have enabled the facebook share button to left, but its not there in the page.
